To England on the Queen Elizabeth 2

The first leg of the long vacation

Caral fullfilled a lifelong dream to sail on the Queen Elizabeth 2. Tom went along with the idea in trade for Caral's agreeing to spend the eighteen days in Sicily - mostly doing genealogy research.

The first two days at sea were marvelous - even Tom was enjoying himself. Then we had some very rough weather, which forced the crew to close some of the dining areas and seal the portholes on the lower decks - and Tom to take dramamine. Finally, calm seas returned and we ended the voyage on an upbeat note.
